Monique Oosterbaan: What I get out of my APIA membership

Having read a few books that suggested joining my local property investors association, I did a bit of investigation to find out exactly what these
groups were about. I found APIA and decided to join immediately. I was pleasantly surprised from the outset at just how friendly everyone was,
from the APIA admin as well as the members willing to answer any of your questions.

I love learning and couldn’t believe how much information is available to members via webinars, monthly keynotes, weekly emails and the Facebook group
for such a small fee. For me personally, I love being able to watch webinars live (or on replay) relevant to my current goals. There are always
little tidbits that I pick up which help me on my investment journey and give me ideas for how I could be improving/growing/optimising my investment
approach.

With the myriad of changes to rules and regulations, APIA is invaluable in providing information to keep me up to date and sharing in formats that
are easy to understand and digest. In times of change it is always interesting talking with other members to hear their thoughts, past experiences
from similar changes along with what positives and opportunities they see from such challenges.

Monique Oosterbaan became an APIA member in 2018 and was elected onto the board in 2020.
