Webinar presentation by John Edwards, Privacy Commissioner
UPDATING LANDLORDS ON DEVELOPMENTS IN THE PRIVACY SPACE
Recent changes to the Privacy Act as well as OPC’s work in the rental sector warrants a discovery session for APIA landlords to ensure you are fully compliant and turning your mind to the various privacy issues that come with running a rental portfolio.
We are beyond excited to have the opportunity to connect APIA members with the Privacy Commissioner at this session to explore these issues.
Session topics
- The Office of the Privacy Commissioner – its remit, reach and the Commissioner’s mission;
- Privacy Act – implications of recent changes for the rental sector;
- Privacy and its intersection with the rental sector – behind-the-scene work the OPC is currently undertaking vis-ร -vis the rental sector;
- Feedback for the OPC – a chance for APIA members to share thoughts and concerns with the Commissioner directly
If time permits, live audience will have the opportunity to ask the Commissioner questions about privacy and the OPC.
Speaker
John Edwards is the Privacy Commissioner, an independent statutory role which he has held since 2014.
