CANDID REFLECTIONS FROM 3 REAL-LIFE INVESTORS
Our September keynote meeting is a celebration of IRL property investing.
We are bringing together three investors with vastly different backgrounds and points of view to share their best nuggets of wisdom with their fellow APIA members.
The speakers are:
Peter Lewis has been investing in properties since 1991. In that time, he has developed a particular method of investing and landlording with purpose. In Investing with purpose – how to focus on your why and make every step count Peter will talk about why investing is more than just money in the bank and how to act with more intention so that you can truly reap the benefits of your hard work.
With a background in finance and management as well as over two decades of experience holding quality residential properties in the UK, New Zealand and the US, William Jeffrey has an incredible amount of knowledge to share with his fellow APIA members. In Success in overseas investing – it’s all in the planning, William will give you the knowledge and confidence to explore growing your portfolio beyond our borders and how to sustainably create a long-term income stream with property.
At 19 Dani Paim bought her first investment property and never looked back. Upon arriving in New Zealand in 2015, she quickly grew tired of spending most of her waitressing income on rent. Fast forward to 2021, she now has four properties under her belt. But it hasn’t been all smooth-sailing. In Getting good – my journey navigating the NZ property education market, Dani reflects on some of the inherent opacity of the property education space and share insights into how to take control of your growth and development.
BONUS PRESENTATION: UPDATE ON CURRENT LENDING ENVIRONMENT
Given the politicisation of property and the ongoing developments in the lending market, the team at Kris Pedersen Mortgages* will give a brief update on COVID, DTI and interest rate floor before sharing tips for investors in the market for funding in the immediate to short term.
